Looking for a retro style digital watch with an actual stainless steel case seemed like a fool's errand in recent years. 99% of retro digital watches (cough cough, Casio) being sold that mimic that stainless steel look are actually made of plastic. White plastic painted silver to be exact. And when that silver paint comes off? Ugh! Horrendous. This adidas watch beats all those Casios by offering a retro style digital watch in an actual stainless steel case. No white plastic here, actual stainless steel.By the way, the module inside is actually made by Timex so it has all the features of a standard Timex digital watch: stopwatch, countdown timer, alarm and hourly chime. And being a Timex the beeps and alarm are actually a decent volume. And one more advantage it has thanks to its Timex origins: Indiglo. A real usable backlight. No, let's-use-a-pathetic-backlight-to-mimic-vintage-digital-watches approach. A real usable backlight here.So why just 4 stars and not a complete 5? The branding., there's too much of it. If they could have just minimized the branding, toned it down a bit then this watch would have been perfect. Is it a deal breaker? Only you can decide that. It wasn't for me. I'm enjoying this watch too much to be bothered by it.
