I was looking for a nail brush that was sturdy enough to clean under my nails, and the side with the fewer bristles does just that. I am funny about my nails being dirty and some brushes are not hard enough to clean well. This brush is just what I wanted and I am glad I ordered them. The one side has softer bristles for general cleaning, but the other side is sturdier. I highly recommend these nail brushes!!!Well made and a delight to the eye. The fingernail brush on the back side Has the bristle ends too close to the side of the plastic block. In the process of use the finger nail itself needs to glide on the plastic and there is very little room between the bristle ends and the side of the plastic block. Still very usable but must be used with the conscious mind not the subconscious.Personally, I prefer stiffer bristles to aid in cleaning under nails after a long day of gardening. Great to clean under nails or use in shower for feet.These are soft and work good but only for short time. Only needs to get wet a few times and the wood starts to turn black and cracks quick. And I’m very clean and use a soap rack to dry this out each time. They don’t last. Only look good for short time.Will clean but wish I had spent more and got stiffer bristles. Does job.
